Scene Guide

Northamptonshire currently only has one gay venue centrally located in Northampton, The Boston Clipper located on College Street . This is in the town centre and within walking distance from the bus and train stations. The Mail Coach on Derngate is also central and has for sometime provided a warm welcome to LGB folk.

Route 69 (formerly the Jolly Anker) on Horseshoe Street while officially no longer a gay venue is still gay friendly and the owners insist that homophobia will not be tolerated. They are hoping that there may be a promoter out there willing to put on a night for the community on a regular basis. If that happens of course we will let you know.

.

There are also several other pubs in the surrounding area: Rainbows in Coventry, The Legend in Rugby, Pink Punters in Bletchley and Cross Keys in Peterborough. Then of course if you’re looking for a city scene London and Birmingham are both approximately one hour away by car or train.
